This is a friendly reminder that there are levels to getting your finances in order … and no one can tell you what level you should be on.
If you’re making enough to cover your bills, that’s a level. (And a blessing!)
If you’re making enough to cover bills, plus have a little spending money, that’s a level.
If you’re making enough to cover your bills, have a little spending money and buy a home, that’s a level.
If you’re paying your bills, spending a little, buying a house and saving for retirement, that’s a level.
And so on and so on… There are levels to this and I think when we listen to the “experts”, we think our finances are a mess because we’re not on a certain level. That’s not a fact. The fact is, you get your personal finances in order by making a plan to level up. Set a goal, make a plan and set a deadline. There’s levels to this...Decide what it means to level up for you and then do that!
